Ramblings of a Grown Up Little Boy
Born Timothy Richard, TimmyDick was my father's nickname for me...
About
I don’t think I’ve led any sort of remarkable life, yet, there are other times I feel like Forrest Gump. The simple fact is I’ve had a really fun and fulfilling life.
I’ve been teargassed, I’ve camped atop Half Dome, I’ve worked or lived in 11 states and I’ve visited 47 of the 50. I’m a Viet Nam Vet and have had a Singapore Sling at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore.
I’ve been a baker, a cook, a hotel exec, worked in healthcare management, and I’ve been a grocer. I smoked my first cigarette at 9 years of age, and my first joint, not long after. I have a penchant for fine whiskies and love a good, local hazy beer.
Recreational drugs are a thing of the past, but back in the day…..
I’ve been to Europe a half-dozen times, I’ve had both hips replaced, and politically, I’m a left-wing Liberal.
And I’m a homosexual who had been with the love of my life for more than 30 years – we’ve now been officially married for the past 15 of them.
I registered the timmydick.com domain with no idea what I was going to do with it, and for the past dozen years, it’s been everything from a test site for sites I was creating to a mirror site to TimAndVictor.com. Nothing seemed to really work. I thought of just letting it go when I was struck with the idea of telling stories.
I’m definitely getting older and sometimes it’s easier to remember things from the past than it is to remember what I just ate for lunch.
Enjoy the show.
